She saw me on the table, frozen through and through,
A doctor walked into the room and cut me clean in two,
A blue light shining on my face; she thought she saw me smile,
Eyes aglow, and blinking all the while.
The layers each were plain to see,
She thought of cherries jubilee,
And then remembered it was me, so she screamed,
The doctor, in complete control, said, Worry not, I'll stitch him whole, but now the sun will warm his soul,
It was a dream.
They set me by the window, upon two silver trays,
The nurse was quite the angel, singing Come down, heavenly rays,
A white light shining on my face; she knew she saw me smile,
Eyes aglow, and blinking all the while.
The layers each were plain to see,
She thought of cherries jubilee,
And then remembered it was me, so she screamed,
The doctor, in complete control, said, Worry not, I'll stitch him whole, but now the sun will warm his soul,
It was a dream.
Robin had a dream.
