A sparkled glaze settles secretly
On the streets and fields whilst you sleep
In a ghost town chimes the midnight hour
As the chill takes grip of me
I drive back home in a calm distress
Although there’s nothing really waiting there
Except a bottle and an empty bed
And a few more stale cigarettes for me
I’m feeling like a lost cause
A pointless waste of skin and bones
The more I need you darling
The more I push you further from my arms
Well isn't love a pain sometimes
So intricate and agonized
When it's longing isn't consolded at all
With her body and her mind
Stirring every sense until
Provoking chemicals that will
Skulk into my brain tonight
And make me feel something positive again
I’m feeling like a lost cause
A pointless waste of skin and bones
The more I need you darling
The more I push you further from my arms
