He used to wake up every morning
Hoping it's the last time
He can barely drag his own feet
And get himself through the door
And as he noticed
Everybody stare and
You hold his head up
And simply smile
Maybe if we weren't so selfish
Maybe if we looked around once in a while
Everything was right there infront of us
How could we have a missed a cry for them?
He never asked us for anything
Was the best kid in class
He was about to softly
Trying to disappear in the crowd
No one noticed
He was slowly fading
Maybe just a little bit of attention
Could save a life
Maybe if we weren't selfish
Maybe if we looked around once in awhile
Everything was right there infront of us
How could we have missed a cry for them?
Maybe if we weren't selfish
Maybe we look around once in a while
Everything was right there in front of us
How can we have missed a cry for them
Maybe if we weren't so selfish
Maybe if we look around once in a while
Everything was right there in front of us
How can we have missed a cry for them
You used to wake up every morning
